Adjusting to pregnancy

Pregnancy and the postpartum periods are highly vulnerable times for all women and their families. It is a time of increased emotional stress due to the enormous changes that accompany such a major life change.

Adjusting to pregnancy requires complex modifications to your many things in your life, not only your own physical and social needs, but also the changes to your body and life once baby comes. While it can be an exciting time, it can also be filled with a lot of apprehension and worry. Depression and anxiety can be common for women during such a challenging time that is filled with so many changes.

Anxiety can be common for those women that have struggled to conceive or fall pregnant, as well as those that have managed with ease. Our previous fears or worries can also manifest during pregnancy and cause a lot of women to become overwhelmed when hearing others pregnancy and birth stories.

We help women navigate the challenges of pregnancy, whether this be due to the symptoms of pregnancy, body image issues, grief and loss, trauma, previous mental health experiences or gender disappointment.
